We were given the project to remove the existing concrete and steel building to replace with a larger steel building. The unit is used to house a new helicopter, which needed a 9m door width. We removed the old building, extended the concrete floor and erected the new structure. The brief was to try and blend the new structure into the background as the property was domestic – difficult to do with an 18m x 12m building.
The building also had a steel entry door and was supplied with a felt lined roof sheet to prevent condensation. Due to the wide door opening the steel section size was increased to provide extra strength. The project was completed in 6 weeks from start to finish including the removal of the old building and the concrete base. Estimated cost of project was £50,000.00.
