A question I get asked many times, can I use one of these buildings for…
The answer is generally yes. Obviously the primary use is for a garage, storage of a car and / or garden equipment, cycles etc. Next most common is a concrete workshop, more robust and longer lasting than a timber building, often at a similar price. You can layout the workshop to your own requirements, maybe replacing the up and over door with a personnel access door and more windows for natural light.
We found that during and after Covid, the request changed to garden buildings, to be used as home offices, gyms, bars, playrooms, the list goes on. With these requests, we can supply the basic structure, they may have french doors in and full height windows to give the feel of a garden building, and can be clad in plank or brick effect as an extra. We can also supply lining clips, which the customer can then use to finish the building internally, creating a stud wall to insulate / board if required.
If you are lining the building out, we suggest you leave time for the building to fully cure before completing internal works to avoid any damp issues.
One thing we also get requested is can we turn the building into a habitable space for somebody to live in. In my opinion the answer to that is no, they are not designed for this purpose.
